Home Care Services

Personal care: Help you get ready for the day ahead or before you go to bed. Our staff members are trained to keep you safe while performing everyday activities, such as showering, sponge bath, oral hygiene, dressing/undressing, skin care, grooming, shaving (electric razor), and incontinence care.
Mobility: We provide you with assistance when walking, as well as transferring from one place to another, to ensure you are using any walking devices correctly and safely. We can also provide aid in activities, such as taking a walk or completing a client’s range-of-motion program designed by a physiotherapist.
Medication: Canadian Shield Health Care Services staff has been specifically trained and are knowledgeable in cueing with safe medication compliance.
Light meal preparation: Provide assistance with meal cueing, as well as assist and supervise our client while eating to ensure optimal nutrition and safely.
Education: As the body ages, some changes occur in one’s daily care. While providing personal care, our Care Workers will take the time to answer questions and teach our client important information they should know about their personal care.
Support: While providing care, we want to be there for you and your family. Our team will work with compassion and respect while providing a support system you can trust. By establishing support, providing positive reinforcement and encouragement, we hope to build genuine therapeutic relationships with you and your family.
Safety: Our number one concern is safety. We want our clients and Care Workers to always feel safe. While providing any care, our Care Workers will complete assessments and monitor your health status to ensure your safety and wellness.
Dementia & Alzheimer’s’ Care: We ensure continuity of care and individualized support. Our enhanced Care Workers are trained in gentle persuasion techniques to ensure the best care possible.
